The process of using PEMPro is very simple, but you should use a telescope and CCD camera that provides at least 1.5 arc-seconds/pixel resolution for the best results.
1.If you are not using a video camera run the Calibration Wizard to set up important parameters needed to get an accurate result. If you are using a video camera there is a separate procedure here.
2.Acquire periodic error data with the telescope mount's PEC feature disabled. Details...
3.Analyze/create a fitted periodic error correction (PEC) curve to the data. Details...
4.Program the mount with the PEC curve. Details...
5.Verify periodic error has been reduced by acquiring periodic data again, this time with the mount's PEC feature enabled.
6.Compare the periodic error has been reduced.
7.If not the curve may have been inverted. See the troubleshooting section for more information.
8.If periodic error has been reduced you are done!
